On November 7, 2013, Mary Marino Kozub, Burchfield Penney Art Center Museum Education and Tour Manager, accepted the Program of Excellence Award from the Network in Aging of Western New York, Inc.. This honor was presented for outstanding and innovative contributions to the geriatric citizenry of Western New York. Mary designed and implemented the Early Diagnosed Alzheimer’s Program, which provides interactive tours with docents affording a means for patients to express their thoughts and emotions as they connect images and ideas to their past. This program will be reintroduced in December, demonstrating the Burchfield Penney Art Center’s continued support of all members of the Western New York community.
