Oct. 30 – Monday –
Class at Blossom – only about half went – altho it was a fine day –
P.M. Altho Hank had made a date at Nenner’s for Tuesday – we had began to wonder if we should not after all, try to get a new car. – We figured out how much money we had & could expect to raise – Then we went over to the union garage – Danny away on a hunting trip, but his sister waited on us, after showing us several models, she showed us a Windsor Royal, that had only 2750 miles on it (The owner had decided he wanted an eight instead). We tried it out, and when she said we could have it for $1900 and our old car, we closed the deal at once.
I called up F.R. & asked him to send what he could – She (sic) said he thought he had enough and could send it Wed. or Thursday – He thought we were wise to buy now.
