More than a dozen Buffalo-area museums and cultural institutions will offer free admission Saturday, Mayor Byron W. Brown announced.

Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village in Amherst
Fenton History Center in Jamestown
Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum in North Tonawanda
Lower Lakes Marine Historical Society
The Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site
The day is part of Smithsonian Magazine’s “Museum Day Live!,” a nationwide initiative for museums to emulate the free admission policy of the Smithsonian Institution.
Arts Services Initiative of Western New York recruited local participating institutions.
Museum visitors must obtain a ticket online at www.smithsonianmag.com/museumday/. Each ticket is good for admission for two at one institution.
