Sept. 13 – Saturday –
Evie over late in the morning – Played the new recording of Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony – which brought tears to her eyes + then to ours. Played also Cimarosa concerto for two flutes – we had her stay to lunch.
Evening – Bertha took, Martha, Evie + Sally to Chestnut Lodge for dinner –
They came home about 9:30, and we talked until midnight.
(Sally had brought notes from Art, Andy + Steve with her).
It was hard to say goodbye to Evie (she leaves tomorrow at 1:00).
