Wed Sept 2 – (to East Otto at 4:00 PM)
The ride both going and coming delightful – golden – road is in its full prime. At restaurant on the eastern edge of East Otto. A good meal. We sat by a window facing east – The scene outside lovely – First a little strip of lawn with the pale luminous shadow of late summer turning it bluish green – then a meadow of tawny grass sprinkled with goldenrod, and beyond that a row of rusty leaved willows, all flooded with the golden hazy sunlight from the declining sun.
