Sunny and cool –

In studio, studying sketches of last year with the thought of readying them for John’s visit – making notes with chalk and charcoal on several of them – finally got to work on the queen-anne’s lace (with church) –

P.M. – visit from Mrs. Anderson and a friend (from Washington D.C.) –

B&I to H.J’s for a supper snack –

Evening music – from concerts from Vivaldi’s Opus 8 (contrast between Harmony & Invention – a title
that is completely baffling to me). Beautiful music, contrast or not!
