Aug. 3 – Monday
We both felt restless after week-ends business, so we went to Buffalo to see the Nun’s Story again. As fine and beautiful as the first viewing –
As we came out from the theatre, the brilliant daylight blinded us – the Electric Bldg. looked especially beautiful – its architecture is timeless; it will be considered beautiful when modernistic architecture will look hopelessly dated –
At Huron and Washington, on our way to the Mohawk ramp, we turned and looked westward. I was amazed at the incredible beauty of the scene, these commonplace buildings and electric sign supports (the Genesee Bldg.) seemed translated in to fabulous objects – am I about to do more city-scapes? and in a totally new manner! The world is new to me again – as if just created. How can I thank God for this renewal of spirit?
