August 2 – Sunday –
Warm and muggy again – a uniformly overcast day – (but no rain).
After church a reception for Mr. Bob Laux and his bride –
To West Valley tea room, but it was full, and quite a few people waiting so we left – we drove north, trying to think of places to eat – Stopped at Springville Hotel but they do not serve until 4:00 – Finally Bertha suggested the ideal solution – to stop at the Lodge who opens at 3:00.
We arrived a little early so I turned on the radio – We caught the tail-end of a selection from Handel’s Jephtha, which was very beautiful (I must order it) –
A good meal.
