Letter from Art – He is doing well with his job – had received a raise on the strength of his high standing in the school at Endicott. He and Violet are planning to be married in about a couple of months –
Letter from J.C. with a check for “Winter Moonlight” (to Wichita).
Fri. evening – babysitting for Mart + Hank so they can go out with their visitors from Norwich, N.Y. (Harold (Harry) Gaines + his wife – a “buddy” of Hanks in Germany during W.W. II). Hank was teasing Gaines because his middle name was Winter Cottons.
Saturday we thought they might bring their guests over to our house, so B. made a huge kettle of pop-corn – and they never showed up!
