A still warm cloudless day – to 8:30 service – H. & Peggy along – Flierl [sic] told me after church he has a contractor friend who wants to buy one of my pictures –
P.M. To the new high school – for the exhibit – Large crowds – As usual my chief concern is to see how my pictures look when they are in a different place. In my studio, I never get far enough away. The “Goldenrod in December” never looked so well as it did here, when I could get away from it almost the length of the room Always doubtful about the sky, I saw now that it carries well. Both the “Winter Moonlight” and “Song of the Brook” looked well.
The Flower Show –
5:00 P.M. to Berlins. A good roast pork supper – we stared until after 12:00, after having had a second “snack” – a pleasant visit.
