Got up early to view the eclipse – but it was cloudy except for one brief moment when it was at its height (62% here) – I had considered going up to Mattice in Northern Ontario where it would be total, but abandoned the idea when we realized it was almost 800 or 1000 miles away. As it turned out, a heavy blanket of clouds up there obscured the sum from beginning to end.
