Very cool, cloudy for most of the day – sometime rain and often very dark –

Most of the day on the original version of the Teegarten House with storm and lightening in the background – I raised the hill considerably, and tone down or eliminated the white “lightening” surrounding all objects –

Peggy over for the day to help Bertha ironing and cleaning.

Evening to H.J.’s for a snack.

By late afternoon the skies were clearing, brilliant sunshine flooded the landscape – and there were spectacular cloud effects of ravishing beauty that filled me with happiness and despair at the same time.

We drove east on the S.W. Blvd. and parked awhile to look –

On the way home, the sun was close to the horizon, sending out pure ’04 – golden light – opposite (in the s.e.) – the clouds were a bewildering combination of varying shades of salmon pink and rich blue-violet shadows.

When we got home we watched “Our Three Sons” then called up Art and Vi (Bertha to thank for the handsome necklace they sent her).

Evening music – Haydn’s Symphonies Nos. 98 and 22 – Wonderful news is that the producers of this record (The Library of Recorded Masterpieces) are going to, not only record all of his symphonies but also all of his works, published and unpublished. Not only that, but exactly as Haydn wrote them. It is amazing to note that many errors and changes had been made in all hitherto recordings of his symphonies.

Oddly enough the first nine records are all new to me except two (7 & 56 – out of 18 symphonies) I think I shall subscribe as I save $18 by so doing.
