A dream fragment – of finding great quantities of white dog-tooth violets growing on a bank; and again of wandering down the “Egypt” road at twilight. A strong autumn wind was drawing rain out of the southwest – the air was filled with enormous oak leaves, rich glossy browns, and red browns.
