Hot and humid. A “do-nothing” day – in and out of studio – finally made a drawing on a 30 X 36 scale of the Egypt Rd. picture.
After supper – watering plants – a sweating job. Then to “second show” at Seneca – Abbott & Costello in “Jack and the Beanstalk” a fairly amusing farce, which with a little restraint and higher ideal, could have become a really good fantasy and “Deadline U.S.A” a very tense melodrama about newspapers & corruption. (H. Bogart, Ethel Barrymore.). Tired & exhausted afterwards.
