Hot & Humid; great cumulus clouds, the air heavy.
Our wild yellow iris (souvenir of last year’s trip to Howard & Hamilton) in full glory—flanked by a cabbage rose on each side. I must do a cabbage rose picture.
Evening—B & I for drive to Springville—Call on the Olmsted’s—H not at home—but Mrs. O was glad to see us. Looked at garden—then we drove over to see the Olmsted Summer Colony—The main house in a fine setting overlooking the Cattaraugus Valley—
Back—beer & cheese & crackers.
