June 25 – Tuesday –
Early A.M. The redbirds and wood thrushes in full song.
Morning spent on porch, shelling peas (they were harvesting them for their food locker). Visit to their garden up on hill – Looking thru our old family album.
P.M. Fred, C&B& I to visit some of the caves for which that country is noted. Very beautiful and fantastic – (climbing stairs on last one, but thru solid rock – exhausted, singing Volga Boatman Song).
Evening picnic in city park – roasting steaks, etc.
