Late P.M. – For a drive – To Zimmerman Rd. – over Brown Hill Rd to Wyandale, Wagner to Trevitt etc. – winding up in Springville, where we stopped for a snack – Tried to call Olmsteds, but got no answer –
The countryside, for the most part, in the full lush growth of June – But a disheartening note – the widely prevalent ravages of the maple blight – It seems to be spreading like wildfire –
Evening call from Clara – They plan to come up next weekend.
Then a call from Vi and Art – (Vi’s mother has been very ill, in the hospital twice) – Vi definitely knows now that she must have a hysterectomy – They want us to come out on July 4 for the fireworks.
