Suddenly warm and muggy after a couple of weeks of cold damp weather —

P.M. — Our new TV from D.C. & D delivered

Evening to H.J.’s for a snack — the country still in the flush of late May feeling —
Field flowers — pink & alsike clover, white daisies, and red sorrel (the latter richer than we ever remember it —
I am full of agony over my night of painting, and the “missing” of this enchanting season due to the drawing’s project.

Even — used the new TV to watch “The Lieutenant” — It was “heavenly” to not hear the raucous, vulgar and noisy commercials.

(Thursday — record — Hovhaness Symphony No. 4 Giannini Symphony No. 3 — The Hovhaness a noble work of great originality (as the Hi-fi reviewed said it was as if he had just discovered the wind instrument found in Heaven —, [there were percussion instruments too]) — The Giannini is less noble, or original — in fact it does not win at serious emotions, but lighthearted gaity (sic) — it has its points also —)
