B & I on a belated anniversary celebration—
To Niagara Falls, Ont. by way of the River Boulevard. We were in a light-headed mood, and the world seemed to reflect our mood – Hosts of dandelions in full bloom yet along the river.
At Niagara we visited the Horse-shoe Falls, & the Gardens, which were in full bloom.
On towards St. Catherine’s*– Peach & Cherry orchards all along the way. (* on Queen Elizabeth Way) – Approaching St. C. we inquired at a Government Tourist Inf. Booth for a good restaurant— The lady on duty gave us the name of two (Beacon and Prudhomme’s) just beyond St. C.–
Stopped at Beacon, a very attractive motel with dining room & coffee shop–
An excellent meal (filet mignon) – our seats by a window overlooking the Lake— many gulls–
Then homeward by same route – A happy day for us.
