P.M. B & I to Buffalo shopping – presents for Art & Evie – etc.
Then to “Center” to see “Valley of the Eagles” scene laid in northern Sweden – a fine picture – especially the arctic scenes – the use of eagles for hunting a thrilling sight to see them attack the wolves – a fine avalanche too – (It recalls that recently we saw another fine movie of the North “The Wild North” – scene laid in Northern Canada – – Ravishingly beautiful mountains, snow-scapes, & vast open snow–bound areas.)
Then to Hengerer’s Tea–room for dinner –
Home about 7:45 – shortly after, Mart called – They had arrived about 1:00 & had been trying to get us. Raining again.
