PM to Euclid village –
Spring not so far advanced in country – still the early April feeling – here & there in the ochre & brown fields a vivid spot of emerald wheat – Haze heavier –
Trillium, Dog-tooth, Dutchman’s Breeches, Cow foot, Turkey toe, yellow violets –
Sun disappears in haze before setting – a beautiful mackerel sky – Still the winter-tree pattern against sky – call of frogs & toads on all sides -
Dusk – toads & frogs –
Trees fringing tops of sweeping hills in weird design, red bird & peter bird –
Dusty air –
