A brisk cold day with vast elemental sweeping skies, miniature blizzards sweeping in grand processions to thenorth and south of us – most of them missed us tho we had occasional wild flurries all day long.

A.M. to Lehde to buy bushes (vines, berries, and lilacs) – a fine walk – from bridge I see that the higher fields to south and southeast of us are white with snow –

P.M. to Herbeins –

P.M. to Buffaloand to B’s – discuss frames.  Mr. Nussbaumer recalls Sides.  B & I to Albright Gallery to look at frames – Meet Mr. Washburn, the new director.  Home at 5:00after buying stockings for M.A. To studio – I think that my original outlook on nature is slowly becoming dulled – the intimate tree-studies I used to do get out 1919 paintings of sulphur stream –
