A deadening hot day – Leaves are almost out in full – Drought continues – grass growing dull – phantom clouds appear and fade away – new birdsong at early morning. Heavy blue haze – beauty of myriad toned YG foliage like a spatter of color.

Even – in Park sketching – splendid moon – seen thrulacy trees – by Pond — water rippled by restless tadpoles – reflections – toads piping – moon thruwind waving – willow – rings appear around moon and pass – breeze scarcely cool –
