Big morning – shower in night – great romantic sky – big, rounded thunder heads rich pale orange yellow in sun – fore-glow; Sun lights up clouds masses shortly after a heavy driving white shower – queer saffron east, overhanging dark blue-violet clouds – dark houses & trees silhouettes against yellow – rain spray on roofs & pavement –
Clears – Romantic silvery thunderheads – A hazy warm day – Birds – hazy streaked sky – violet in air -
A wild thunderstorm at late afternoon – yellow sky, dark queer blue-violet & white rhythms, overhead – fierce gusts of wind as in a snow storm – white sheets of driving rain – sky become grey-green – ground white & hazy with rain spray – rain-rhythms in air, huge blinding snakes of lightning & roaring of thunder increase in fury –
Lasts long & clears slowly & gradually – sky richly blending blue-green & orange, a wonderful blue haze in air – a green film on willows & apple trees – other trees startling white buds – Poplars dense with enlarging bloom – wonderful blue & green reflections in pond – sun a hazy white glow appears – rich red-violet earth –
Away from sun – bright red, red-orange poplar bloom up against grey-blue storm sky –
At a flash of lightning in a rainstorm have trees darker at this point.
