Cold and bright—the ground frozen hard.
B & I to early service at E. Aurora (8:45) at times driving down it was easy to imagine we were back in February. Only where elm & maple bloom showed was clear that it was spring.
M & N to the 11:00 service at E.A. while we kept Peggy. Then back here for dinner. Roast ham etc.

Evening—B & I to Tech to see “Force of Evil” (John Garfield) & “Caught” (James Mason). We were not in a mood for such tense grim pictures & came away dissatisfied—
