Throughout her year as Burchfield artist-in-residence, Janelle Lynch will share her thoughts and impressions with us as we share her journey into the spirit and work of Charles Burchfield.
Dear Tony and Scott,
Researching the online archives today during the heavy rain, I realized that Burchfield's work was also a celebration of the weather.
So I'm getting into "An April Mood" in Western New York, especially now after a visit to Dick's for appropriate gear.
And also a photographic mood.

Freezing rain advisory: Apr 11, 10:27 pm - Apr 12, 04:00 am
Areal flood watch: Apr 11, 10:52 pm - Apr 12, 05:00 pm
After writing about photography for the last several months, it's especially satisfying to be with my 8x10 camera again. With the rain, I could only make digital sketches, though. The image is a sketch for wallpaper.
