“A Musical Feast,” the concert series anchored by former Buffalo Philharmonic Concertmaster Charles Haupt, continues at 8 tonight in the Burchfield Penney Art Center. Tonight’s concert features a special guest, internationally renowned flutist Carol Wincenc. As is traditional with this freewheeling series, the music is colorful and adventurous. Wincenc opens the evening by joining pianist Claudia Hoca and cellist Jonathan Golove in the 1944 Trio for Flute, Cello and Piano by Bohuslav
Martinu. Hoca then teams with violinist Charles Castleman for the 1932 Concertant by Igor Stravinsky.
Castleman takes a solo turn next for David Finko’s “Lamentations of Jeremiah.” Following intermission, Hoca and Wincenc join for Six Chassidic Folk Songs, written in 1947 by Paul Schoenfeld.
Admission is $10 for gallery members and $20 for nonmembers. For info, call 878-6011.
