Sunshot morning – vivid green lawns – blackbirds – Pebbly clouds – Stiff wind out of the Lake – Buoyant walk down Euclid Sketching Trees –
Arrival of solid mass of cold overlapping clouds – Continue all day – I feel a strange sense of elation, the reason for which is not apparent. P.M. Downtown Superior viaduct – yellow rippled water swift wind – gulls sailing over the river – How I envy them!
Lacy elms against the sky. Evening at Austin’s – He plays parts of Gotterdammerung on piano & on Victrola – Coming home I am alive with ideas and lofty conceptions —
