March 31 – Sunday –
Dinner at home so we could watch (and listen to) the St. Matthew Passion on TV. (The first half.)
A beautifully done performance – All the characters done with great reverence – and conviction – the singer who took the part of Christ (always a most difficult part) seemed very real – the music, as in the case of opera, took on a new and deeper meaning since the characters could be seen. It is so hard to put down here the impact it had on us.
