The Vernal Equinox – a heavy snow from the southwest last night – the air is warm + quiet this morning. There are rumblings from the earth’s depths. On Friday + Saturday nights I saw the Russian Ballet – I never was so completely transported the world of the imagination. Everything seemed newly created in my mind. It is almost the ultimate in stage art – the union of music, drama, dancing, pantomime, + design. Warmer this morning – at noon a heavy milk blue fills the air – the sun shines suddenly – I heard a flicker –
