Day of heavy opaque mists –
Evening out McKinley – air full of the smell of burning rags & tarpaper.
Bentleys – the First [Hepaticas] – robin singing overhead – pale sunlight thru the saplings.
At Twilight – bonfire sending up thru smoke over the spring sky – shouts of children & old women – robins keep up a frantic screaming from the tops of scrawny trees – later on church bells ring in the hollow air –
Fairylike bloom appears the same around old evil houses –
