Yesterday’s thaw ended suddenly last night with a snowstorm & gale that came without warning (about 9:00) – This morning, very cold and a high wind from the west –

P.M. to Buffalo to shop and look around the town – eventually to the foot of Maryland Street – I parked near the corner of a building – the wind rocked the car all the time I sat there –

Evening – the broadcast of the dedication of the New National Gallery –
