Mar. 14 - Sat
A little before 8:00 - M.A. calls from Buffalo, - they had gotten up early and taken the 6:10, instead of 8:20.
8:30 - Drive C. to Buffalo for orchestra practice - Take S along as compensation for not going to E. Aurora last night. Breakfast at Greyhound Terminal, then to Market.
Home by 11:00 - good to see girls.
P.M. To Lafayette Hotel, Buffalo - jury for High School art contest - N.L.R. in charge, and proves her inexperience. 16 classifications, in piles on tables, and each juror supposed to "thumb" thru them and mark down his choices! This plus the fact that I felt totally unqualified to pass on such work, filled me with dismay. Somehow we got thru the afternoon, though it was a tiring job.
Mr. Anderson (from J.N. Adam Co., the exhibit's sponsor) in at 5:30 - Cocktails -
Evening - spent in "family visiting at home."
