Over the past several months Joe and I have been talking about watercolor. I could hear him smiling over the phone lines and lighting up when he shared with me another book was printed of his artwork. I’ve collected these books like a person might collect charms with the most recent arriving in the mail a few weeks ago. Joe Orffeo’s Galaxy of the Mind Watercolors, dedicated to Linda Orffeo, with love from Joe, 2013.
“The last two decades of watercolor paintings have been the focal point of my art. I use many different techniques to achieve my vision of what I want to say as an end result. Watercolor is one of my most exciting processes of producing my work as the color dances across the paper.” January 2013
