Here’s a sneak peek into Shasti O'Leary Soudant’s Useum™ installation - "it’s awesome!" Colorful lights change and flicker in fantastic patterns, your eyes will feel like they experienced the coolest party ever! Shasti is providing remotes for visitors that manipulate the color choices in the space. Leave an ID at the front desk to check out a clicker to use.
The grooviest photo booth you have ever used will be right outside the Useum entrance. For a donation, take your picture, it will click 4 times. The images are uploaded to the artists’ computer and she will add your photo to the Useum installation. Check frequently to see if your face is glowing on the Useum gallery wall.
Play with the largest “Lite-Brite” board! Visitors will be captivated with hundreds of colorful pegs lighting up against a pitch black background. Isn’t it marvelous how Shasti brought back a game many of us remember fondly from our youth? It’s so bright!
It might be tricky but the artist has a hidden clue that participants decode in the color-light patterns. Hint; look at Shasti’s announcement card.
Let There Be Light is an artist installation in the Useum™ by Shasti O'Leary Soudant opening Friday, March 8, on view Friday, March 8–Sunday, September 29, 2013.
See you in RED, in GREEN, or even in BLUE on Friday night!
