Charles E. Burchfield (1893-1967), Sun, Moon and Stars, 1920-55; watercolor on wove paper, 37 1/2 x 54 1/2 inches; Syracuse University Art Galleries, Collection purchase, Harold M. and Alice Jalonack Fund
Working on the drawing of the false front in my reconstructed picture of East Liverpool (1920) which I think of as “Sun, Moon, & Star.” (A conventionalized sun on the top of the false front; an electric sign in the shape of a star hanging in front of a stone, and the crescent moon to be in the sky.)
