An activist and experienced journalist will deliver the keynote address at SUNY Buffalo State's Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration on Thursday.
Michaela Angela Davis will speak at 7 p.m. in the Burchfield Penney Art Center. Admission is free.
Davis is an activist, writer, editorial director and regular contributor to CNN. She has worked as a fashion director and as an editor for magazines such as Essence, Vibe and Honey. She recently served as editorial brand manager for the cable station BET and as editorial lead of Centric, the first network designed for black women.
