Colleen Ludwig: Shiver

A sensory environment created by Colleen Ludwig examines our relationship with the world. A three walled room, Shiver surrounds us. Employing 71 valves and 35 infrared sensors, computer controllers turn on and off water based on the location of viewers in the space. Rivulets of water that respond to our presence – dripping down walls – it impacts our senses. Through this interaction, we are able consider our connection to or separation between ourselves, others and the world around us.
