Pop-Up Park Buffalo comes to the Burchfield Penney Art Center this spring! “Pop-Up” refers to an intervention, usually within the urban environment, that “pops up” temporarily for a specific need or event.
Last May, Joy Kuebler Landscape Architect joined forces with architect Catherine Faust and head of the Tinkering School of Buffalo Melissa Leopard to begin the tedious process of bringing a “Pop-Up Park” to Buffalo. Watch a timelapse video from last summer by clicking here.
Participation in the Pop-Up Park is free, however, reservations are required by calling Alana Ryder, Curator for Public & Academic Programs, at (716) 878-4534. Spaces are limited and children must be ages 8-18. Lunch will be provided, and the event will take place rain or shine.
