Julia Dzwonkoski is a visual and media artist and curator based in Los Angeles, California. She received a BA in media study and art history from the University at Buffalo and an MFA in visual arts from the University of California, San Diego. While in Buffalo she worked as a video programmer at Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center and as the assistant director of Squeaky Wheel/Buffalo Media Resources. She then became the director of the Herndon Gallery at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
Since 2002 Dzwonkoski has collaborated with artist Kye Potter on paintings, videos, ceramics, books, and other projects. In addition to creating their own work, they have curated exhibitions of paintings, prison art, and experimental film and video. In 2012, they started Orion Read, which specializes in records, prints, and books by artists.
